mindfulness meditation

weekly mindfulness meditation

Mindfulness meditation is an exercise in breathing and orienting your mindbody to the present moment as best as possible. This offering is a community space for folks to virtually join as they can if they are in need of a quiet moment to support their overall well being.

This is a guided meditation, which means that I will meditate and speak at the same time, using my words to support your own experience in meditation while you practice on your end of the screen. You are welcome to sit in silence or you are welcome to listen to my words and move your body as you see fit. The words that I speak are just an offering to provide some containment to the meditation experience if that feels helpful for you.

Meditation has the potential to support some folks in reducing anxiety and increasing emotional regulation and feelings of inner stability. This is not the case for everyone. If you are wondering if this is for you, please reach out!

About my meditation style:

I have been meditating and teaching folks to meditate for 10+ years. My orientation is influenced by Rajanaka yoga - a tradition that is non-dogmatic and aims to empower each individual to find what they truly believe in, and of course my work as a trauma oriented psychotherapist. My facilitation style invites each individual to find what works for them in any given moment as opposed to suggesting that I have "the right way". It feels very important to me to be clear that my intention is not to appropriate traditions that are not in my lineage, or to suggest that I am a "guru" of any sort. My hope is to create a safe enough space for folks to arrive into their individual present moment experience. I welcome feedback in regards to this if my offerings ever feel out of alignment with this intention.

In times of stress and unending turmoil - what can help us continue to thrive is often to find what brings you resource, faith,  and hope. Lets sit together in support of you finding what that is for you.

This offering is donation based for whoever wants to join. Suggested donation is $5 - $15, however no one will be turned away for an inability to pay. During these challenging times, it feels important to me that folks have access if they need it.
